Life

"There comes a time in your life when you realize who matters, who never did, and who never will. So don't worry about people from the past, there's a reason why they didn't make it to your future."

One of my absolute favorite quotes that I always keep in the back of my mind. I need to start realizing that change is sometimes for the better. I need to learn how to let go of certain things, such as old friends. I love figuring out who I can really depend on, who my real true friends are. I love it when friends prove to me that they will always be there and that I can count on them no matter what. My friends are my world and I love them all more than life itself. I need to start living in the moment, not the past or the future. Reminiscing about the past is like my day job. Friends come and go throughout life, and I think I'm finally learning to accept that, or at least I'm trying to. There's always memories that I can look back on and laugh & cry about, knowing that at least I shared those moments with friends sometime in my life.

"We all take different paths in life, but no matter where we go, we take a little of each other everywhere."

Going away to college has changed my life already; not for the better, not for the worse....it just changed. I look at my relationships differently because everyone who used to be around me everyday, isn't anymore. I already cannot imagine my life without my new friends. I know that the ones who mean a lot to me and feel the same way about me will always be there. I love having heart-to-heart conversations even via facebook or texting, it makes me happy :) I love going home and things haven't changed one bit with many of my closest friends. I'm just really realizing how much I need my friends and how much they all mean to me, every single one of them. It's sad that some friendships are lost, but it happens all the time.

....Okay so maybe blogging is actually a good idea...this relieved alot!
